Pendle welcomed the Alpha Race Camp back to the slope in August, with coaches Benn Hall & Dave Tee providing the summer race camp for the week.
The camp was enjoyed by a large number of Pendle Racers, as well as skiers from other clubs as far away as the Midlands.
Everyone enjoyed the event and the Friday race day, and we look forward to welcoming Benn & Dave back again in 2015
Whilst the slope is closed for normal lessons over the summer months there is lots of work going on still at the club, and we are very grateful to the volunteer members who attend various repairs over the summer months.
The matting at the bottom of the main slope has been lifted, with improvements made to drainage and hardcore replaced. The matting has been renewed, and sprinklers fitted, and we have had an army of painters all working hard to keep the place looking tip top ready for the new season.
Congratulations to David Corr who has been presented with the monthly coaches award for July, and who will be taking part in a Special Olympics event in Birmingham later this year – we wish him luck from everyone

The first award for 2014 for January is presented to Lucas Rowley – Well Done Lucas.
Lucas trains on Sunday mornings and has been working really hard giving 100% every week
Well done to Fay Dugmore who has been presented with the coaches award for December.
Fay has been working really well at training and her new ski’s have also helped, look out the schools race on Saturday 22nd March.
